James Tetzlaff

My name is Bradley James Tetzlaff, though I normally go by “James.” I’m serving as a pastor at the Milwaukee UBF chapter. I’m so grateful for the many faithful people of God there, including my wife Abigail and three children. Although I grew up with many Christian role models, it was when I started college that God’s word spoke to me powerfully through Bible study with Missionary Paul Dang. God called me out of my isolationism and the darkness of my sin. I came to know Jesus—his divine love, saving grace, and light of life. Together my prayer is that we deepen our relationship with Jesus, for knowing him to know God himself.

John Peace

Hello everyone, I’m John Peace and by God’s grace one of the messengers for the 2025 Mid-Valley Summer Conference. I started in the UBF ministry in 1983 when I was a freshman at the UIC campus. But in 2003, my family moved to Ukraine as missionaries until fall of 2022. My wife and I had to come back to Chicago due to the Russian/Ukrainian war which started in February 2022. We are now serving at WestLoop UBF ministry near downtown Chicago where I currently serve as an interim pastor. I have a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University in Virginia. More importantly, I’m a disciple of Jesus, a husband, a father of 4, and a grandfather of 2 beautiful grandchildren. My message will be on Mark 1:1-20, focusing on Jesus’ calling his first disciples with the invitation, “Come, follow me.” I pray at this conference this invitation from Jesus may touch your hearts and you may follow Jesus and experience the blessing to be his disciple for our generation. I hope to see you there. God bless.

Dylan Burke

Hi, my name is Dylan Burke and I'll be giving a message titled "How to Follow Jesus" based on 1 Peter 1:13 ‐ 2:5. I am a member of Chicago UBF and I volunteer at Deeper Roots in Christ which is a campus ministry at UIC. I personally accepted Jesus in college after being an agnostic. I started following Jesus during my undergrad studies at NEIU where Little-Sarah Kim taught me the Bible. After graduating, I decided to move to Urbana-Champaign for law school. I planned to move there simply to study but I ended up serving at I-Vine UBF with Pastor Joshua Hong. Somewhere along the line, I discovered that following Jesus gives greater joy than anything else. For the past few months, I have been thinking about and struggling to obey God’s Word in 1 Peter 1:13 - 2:5. I pray that many attendees at this conference will experience a lasting change in their lives and follow Jesus closely.

David Choi, jr.

Hi everyone, my name is David Choi, and I am one of the speakers for the upcoming Midwest Summer Bible Conference.  I currently live in Springfield, IL with my wife, Esther, and three children and serve the Central IL UBF chapter along with Dr. John and Rebecca Lee.  My parents were UBF missionaries so I've been a part of the church for a very long time, but it's only recently that I made the decision to accept Jesus as Lord and savior of my life. These last few years for me have been about newly discovering what it means to follow Jesus, and I look forward to sharing my journey with all of you very soon. My message will be on John 21 and I hope and pray that we may all be blessed and encouraged by the fruit that comes from following Jesus.
