This IG will cover: 1) principles of expository message writing; 2) understanding and communicating with your audience; 3) the preparation and traits of the messenger. Resources we will use are: Biblical Preaching by Haddon Robinson (3rd Edition); Preaching by Tim Keller; and Preaching with Cultural Intelligence by Matthew D. Kim. We want to learn how to create preaching lessons and a preaching series. As many among us have full-time jobs, we also want to learn how to manage our time and what to focus on.
Presenters: Dr. Sarah Theresa Ahn
Shame is a soul-crushing force that tells us we are unworthy, unlovable, and beyond redemption. It is a heavy burden that shapes how we see ourselves, others, and even God. But the Gospel has life-changing power to break the chains of shame, bringing deep healing, lasting hope, and true freedom. Come and hear how the Gospel speaks to the places of deepest shame in every heart and every culture! "No shame is too deep. No wound is too great. Christ's love breaks every chain."
*Unfortunately, S02 has been cancelled due to health concerns on the part of one of the presenters. Thank you for your understanding!

How should Christians view homosexual behavior, pornography or masturbation? Do these activities hurt anyone? Should the church allow same sex marriage? Would you welcome a homosexual couple or a transsexual in your church? If so, how would you help them? Would you treat an unmarried heterosexual couple differently? Did Jesus say anything about this? How would you help someone struggling with any of these sexual issues?
Presenters: Dr. Spencer Luebben, Ben West & Joshua Perez
This interest group will focus on introducing the basics of apologetics, which means defending the faith. This includes clarifying the gospel message, answering objections and equipping believers to share their faith. Presenters will share their personal experiences in both learning apologetics topics/techniques and using them in the contexts of evangelism, Bible study and discipleship.
Presenters: Dr. Paul Kim
This interest group session begins with an overview of artificial intelligence (AI), followed by a discussion on how Christians can wisely and faithfully navigate the changes brought about by AI. The session aims to ensure responsible AI adoption in both professional and spiritual contexts. The IG leader will highlight relevant AI programs, examine their practical applications, and discuss potential implementations. An interactive Q&A session will allow participants to reflect on AI's impact on society, work, and faith.
